Our Vision
We Are All Woven
Woven Bodies was founded by Morgane (she/her) and Alexandra (she/her), two queer women, who wanted to expand their family and found it surprisingly challenging—and deeply upsetting—to encounter the lack of care providers who were queer, queer-fluent, and true allies.
We are feminists. We fight for reproductive healthcare as a fundamental human right. Our mission is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves access to compassionate, informed, and affirming care—especially those who have been historically marginalized or overlooked by traditional healthcare systems.
Morgane Richardson comes into this space with over 10 years of experience as a perinatal health educator, doula, and a lifetime commitment to community and human rights activism. Morgane is also a somatic coach, supporting individuals in connecting deeply with their bodies and experiences.
Dr. Alexandra Garcia is a board-licensed Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Her practice focuses on perinatal support and pediatrics, providing holistic care that honors the full spectrum of reproductive experiences.
Woven Bodies is an inclusive healthcare practice dedicated to supporting all bodies through acupuncture, massage, somatic coaching, and body-focused educational classes. Our work is anchored in the understanding that health is not just personal—it’s political. We are committed to dismantling barriers to care and creating spaces where healing is accessible, radical, and rooted in justice.
Our objective is to establish a space that initiates and nurtures dialogues concerning the impact of gender, sexuality, class, and race on the healthcare landscape. We exist to serve as both an online resource and a physical Woven HOME in Kingston, NY, where community, care, and activism intertwine.
With love,
Morgane Richardson + Alexandra Garcia
